Advanced parachute riggers are qualified to inspect and repair all types of parachute equipment, they are experienced riggers who don't have the same restrictions as parachute riggers.

Advanced parachute riggers can run reserve parachute packing courses, to qualify reserve packers, and they are also qualified to modify parachute equipment under various guide lines and limitations.

All those attending the advanced riggers course must hold an approved packing certificate and an advanced packing certificate. They must also be qualified as a parachute rigger, therefore, it's assumed that all candidates are conversant with the subjects in the Approved Packers, the Advanced Packers, the Basic Riggers and the Parachute Riggers knowledge base.

Safety Tip - have you cutaway and deployed your reserve prior to a reserve repack?
